I absolutely loved the charming and cozy decoration of the cottage. The exposed stone walls and warm furnishings made me feel right at home. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the general areas in the cottage. It was easy for me to move around and navigate the space comfortably.
I would have liked to see a bit more assistance from the children working there in terms of providing information about nearby attractions and activities suitable for senior people.

The decoration at Kempshill Cottage was absolutely charming, with its exposed stone walls and warm and cozy furnishings. As a senior woman, I appreciated the attention to detail in creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The general areas of the cottage were spacious and beautifully presented, with lots of characterful touches. It was easy for me to navigate around and feel at home. The location in the small quiet village was perfect for someone like me, as I could easily access the essential amenities such as pubs, a convenience store, and a bakery. It made my stay convenient and enjoyable. I would definitely return and use this cottage again while exploring more of the peak district.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to provide a few more toilet rolls.

The bathrooms were amazing! There were 2 with a bath or shower, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring. The other 2 bathrooms had showers, making it convenient for everyone in our group. Loved having options!
Some might find it a bit cramped, but personally, I didn't mind at all.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kempshill Cottage in Tideswell during my travels. Although my stay was only for transit purposes, I found the database to be extremely convenient. With the nearest airport located just 48 km away, it made for a hassle-free journey and a seamless transition between my flights. This feature was especially beneficial for someone like me who values efficiency and punctuality when it comes to travel arrangements.
While my experience at Kempshill Cottage was overwhelmingly positive, I did come across a minor inconvenience in the database. Although it was nothing major, I noticed a slight discrepancy in the listed distance to the nearest train station.

Honestly, we didn't experience anything negative during our Christmas stay. Everything was excellent, from the cottage itself to the convenient parking right outside the front door.

Stayed at a 4-star cottage with WiFi. Enjoyed the natural beauty of Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Fireplace and dining area were convenient. Shared with only my party. Managed by a pro host. Sheffield and Manchester were a distance away, but hey, who needs 'em!
Not enough toilet rolls. seriously?
